Moving our bodies in a flowing way to some awesome tunes, works to strengthen and lengthen muscles all over the body. Curated playlists and choreographed sequences also help to quiet our minds, so not only does the body get to move in a way that feels great, the mind also finds some calm.

About me...
Music has always been my passion, and one of my favourite things to do is watch live bands on stage.
That moment before the band comes on stage, where everything is dark, quiet, full of potential, you can feel the anticipation in the air, you feel connected with the rest of the audience, you are right there in that present moment. That's the special moment.
I found that moment also in Yoga.
I'm Sarah Jade, founder of Rock and Flow Yoga, and I'm all about connecting breath, movement and music to create a flowing meditative yoga practice to have fun, and feel more relaxed!
After many years of weight training, and yoga- Ashtanga, Vinyasa, Yin and Iyengar - I loved yoga so much I wanted to learn even more, so In 2020, I decided to take the plunge and train to be a teacher with the Meadowlark Yoga 200-hour teacher training.
I have, since then, continued my learning with a further 100hr Yin & Restorative Yoga training, and training in Yoga anatomy, Yoga Nidra, Yoga for Menopause, and I continue to learn to be able to give my best to all students that join classes.

If you are new to yoga I run regular 6-week beginners yoga group courses.
I'm also available for 1:1 tuition where we can tailor the content to your own liking.

Yoga isn't just about a physical workout, there is so much more to it. Yoga helps me to still my mind through the movements, coupled with the focus on the breath, and I love to combine yoga with music. I feel that music can also make yoga more accessible and less intimidating to anyone who may not feel like they are a "yoga person".
I have a passion for building carefully curated Alt/Rock/Goth/Metal playlists, to carry me through my practice. When my mind is especially busy, the music helps as a focus point for my attention. The music can help us to tune in to our senses, connect into our bodies and quieten the busy thoughts that are often in our heads.
